"The Atlanta Music Project (AMP) announces a month-long concert series showcasing the music of the African diaspora. AMP is committed to celebrating the vast contributions to music by Africans and the descendants of enslaved Africans around the world, bringing together tradition and history with its modern-day influence and cultural relevance. The concert series comprises seven free performances, featuring works made popular by composers, arrangers, and artists from Africa and the African diaspora. Pieces to be performed include Shosholoza an Nguni song from South Africa, The Battle of Jericho a spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan, and Alegre by Cuban composer Tania León. In addition, music of the classical genre written by composers of African descent such as Joseph Boulogne (also known as The Black Mozart) and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor will be performed."

"MARTA will hold two public hearings on proposed bus service modifications. The first will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, in East Point, and the second on Saturday, Feb. 15, in Chamblee. MARTA representatives will be on hand for the community exchange sessions and public hearings. MARTA regularly evaluates bus route performance including scheduling, on-time performance, ridership, and safety. Modifications were recommended based on feedback received from customers and the Authority’s service analysis. The NPU system was established in 1974 by the late Mayor Maynard Jackson to provide an opportunity for all citizens to actively participate in the Comprehensive Development Plan, which is the city's vision for the next five, ten, and fifteen years. Since then the NPU system has evolved into what it is today – the official avenue for citizens to receive updates concerning all functions of City government. Enabling citizens to express concerns and provide input helps the City in developing plans that best meet the needs of each neighborhood."

"The Atlanta Music Project (AMP) announces a month-long concert series showcasing the music of the African diaspora. AMP is committed to celebrating the vast contributions to music by Africans and the descendants of enslaved Africans around the world, bringing together tradition and history with its modern-day influence and cultural relevance. The concert series comprises seven free performances, featuring works made popular by composers, arrangers, and artists from Africa and the African diaspora. Pieces to be performed include Shosholoza an Nguni song from South Africa, The Battle of Jericho a spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan, and Alegre by Cuban composer Tania León. In addition, music of the classical genre written by composers of African descent such as Joseph Boulogne (also known as The Black Mozart) and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor will be performed."

"MARTA will hold two public hearings on proposed bus service modifications. The first will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, in East Point, and the second on Saturday, Feb. 15, in Chamblee. MARTA representatives will be on hand for the community exchange sessions and public hearings. MARTA regularly evaluates bus route performance including scheduling, on-time performance, ridership, and safety. Modifications were recommended based on feedback received from customers and the Authority’s service analysis. The East Point hearing will take place Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the East Point City Annex at 3121 Norman Berry Drive. The Community Exchange will begin at 6 p.m. and the Public Hearing at 7 p.m. Attendees riding MARTA will take bus route 192."
